LCDR Kevin D Corrie

Lieutenant Corrie is a 1994 graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in English Language and Literature. In June of 2001, he reported to Officer Candidate School in Pensacola FL.

Upon commissioning in September 2001, he began his flight training in the T-34C at Pensacola, FL. In August 2003 he earned his wings of gold and reported to AWSTS for fleet replacement training in the mighty MH-53E “Sea Dragon.”.

After completion of flight training in August 2004 he reported for sea duty at HM-14 in Norfolk, VA for his flying fleet tour. While attached to HM-14, he served as Aircrew Training Officer, 100 Division Officer and Flight Officer.

In 2004, he participated in Operation New Horizon off the Haitian Coast, and in September 2005, LT Corrie deployed aboard the USS Iwo Jima in support of JTF Katrina to assists the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Additionally, he served as Operations Officer in Punte del Este, Uruguay in support of President George W. Bush during a diplomatic visit.

Following sea duty in July 2007, LT Corrie reported for shore duty at Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Atlantic in Norfolk as AMCM Department Head. In June of 2010, he reported for his disassociated sea tour aboard the Iwo Jima (LHD-7) as Safety Officer.

During his tours he earned a Navy Accommodation Medal, two Navy Achievement Medals, two Meritorious Unit Commendation and two Humanitarian Service Medals.
