Lindell Davidson, P.E., FASHRAE, C.E.M.

Born in Trenton, TN in 1924, Mr. Davidson’s college studies at the University of Tennessee were interrupted by World War II, serving in the European Theater of Operations with the 35th Infantry Division of the 3rd Army. After the war, he attended and graduated from Duke University in 1949 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer, a Fellow of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and a Certified Energy Manager.

His professional career in the Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry included 28 years with Johnson Controls as a Sales Engineer in Washington, DC and Philadelphia Branches and Branch Manager in Puerto Rico; five years as a Consulting Engineer in Philadelphia and Norfolk, VA; and 12 years in Civil Service with the US Navy in Norfolk and Washington DC where he was (acting) Chief HVAC Engineer for the US Navy.

Since retiring in 1994 he has been active in Community and Civic affairs were he volunteered as an engineering consult for the City of Norfolk, Civic League Boards, Federation Boards, and performed in choral groups. He is married to his wife, Maria, for 59 years and they have four children, five grandchildren and one great-grand son scattered throughout the United States.
