Bruce Watts

Bruce Watts is the managing partner with W&B Development Consulting, LLC. W&B Development Consulting, LLC is a development and redevelopment company that began in 2006 with offices in Virginia and North Carolina. As a community partner, W&B specializes in Public Private Partnerships which include urban mixed use, commercial and retail.

Prior to W&B, Bruce previously worked for twelve (12) years with the City of Norfolk’s Department of Development as the Senior Commercial Business Development Manager.

He also worked in the hospitality industry with the Marriott Corporation in hotel management. Bruce earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Averett College and pursued graduate studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Bruce has been involved with several Public-Private Partnerships to include office, hotel and restaurant developments. Most recent development projects involvement includes:

• $4.5 million shopping center with 48,000sf of retail space that includes a full service grocery store and pharmacy
• $8 million office development in a special district that provides incentives to small businesses
• Proposed $80 million hotel conference center development that includes a 300-room hotel and 50,000sf conference center

He is a member of The Council for Urban Economic Development and Hampton Roads Commercial Real Estate Association.
